Offers an overview of human life-span functioning with a primary focus on psychosocial development and counseling. To understand how and why people function as they do, we examine specific topics of personal interest, chosen and presented by students in the class; we will examine research literature in human development and counseling, study age-related normative data, and life-stage characteristics, and investigate interventions for life-stage dilemmas. Prerequisite: graduate standing or consent of instructor.
