Intensive course in Mexican development. Emphasizes the twentieth century, especially the Mexican Revolution of 1910, showing how this nation transformed itself into a modern nation-state. Includes diplomatic relations with the U.S., incorporation of Indians, church-state relations, uses of land and other natural resources, role of the military and growth of Mexican nationalism.
